Hi Reader, I am committed to a weekly newsletter for my business and I have named it The Quilted Line. Read all the way to the bottom to see why I chose The Quilted Line. The Quilted Line is sort of where stitches meet stories and I have three sections:
🧵 Threaded Thoughts Have you ever raised chickens? I have a little story that might make you laugh or nod in knowing agreement! Round two went better. We got all hens, and they started laying beautifully. But here’s the twist, once we let them free-range, the eggs vanished. No eggs for over a week. Were they on strike? Well, mystery solved: my husband was under the carport one day and found over 20 eggs in a hidden stash! Apparently chickens are crafty like that, who knew? 🧵 The Quilter’s Corner Being a new chicken owner has reminded me a lot of being a new quilter, there’s fun, frustration, and those little moments that make it all worth it. Even after 20+ years at the longarm, quilting still challenges and delights me. That’s part of what keeps me coming back for more. Lately, my daughter has been getting curious about quilting, so I’ve been doing more piecing alongside her. It’s been such a joy to see quilting through fresh eyes. 🧵 From the Frame Last week was a whirlwind of teaching and connecting at the HandiQuilter event at Quilt Mercantile! There were so many standout moments from the in-person classes, I can’t wait to share a full recap next week. It’s such a privilege to watch students stretch their skills and find their own rhythm at the frame. Teaching the ProStitcher classes got my wheels turning... I’m considering creating an online course to help more quilters with ProStitcher. There’s so much possibility in that program and it’s exciting to think about the creative potential! You can see my current online classes HERE. Also, did you know I have a Pantograph Store? I've designed over 100 pantographs (yes, really!), and I’m working to get them all uploaded. If you're looking for something fresh for your next quilt, take a peek. I’ll be adding new designs each week, so check back often! I just received 3 gorgeous quilts that will go on my longarm this week for edge to edge quilting! I have a special running where you get every 5th quilt 20% off! Just hit reply if you'd like to get some edge to edge quilting done! Turn around time is 2 weeks! Happy Quilting, Jackie www.jackiesmachinequilting.com PS: So I wanted to explain the name of my newsletter The Quilted Line. “Line” refers to stitching (which ties in beautifully with edge-to-edge quilting, custom work, and pantograph design) while also evoking the idea of a “line” of communication perfect for a newsletter. PPS: is pps a thing? Longarm quilting is finally recognized as an official business category on Google thanks to the amazing efforts of the Longarm League, which I’m proud to be part of! If I have finished your quilts or you have taken one of my free motion quilting classes (online or in person), I’d be so grateful if you could leave a quick Google review HERE. |

Hello Reader, "I hear it all the time: 'Jackie, I’d love to use those beautiful designs, but I only have a domestic machine.'
